Why this must be read: - Blair was a passenger on a plane that has crashed, but nobody is sure just where it went down...
We aren't given much on Blair's years pre-Jim in canon; so basically it's open season for however a writer chooses to develop it. This story gives us an interesting picture of it as Naomi thinks back over his life while she waits at the airport for news, supported by Jim and Simon. It also covers, in flashbacks, Jim and Simon remembering bits of his life with them. The whole is an interesting study of Blair.
