Why this must be read: It concerns the supremely awkward situation of Ava, Boyd, Raylan and Winona all stuck in an elevator together. There's only one thing that could make this even more awkward than implied by canon- and so Boyd and Winona also have a connection here, from before she even met Raylan.
This connection is a complete surprise that I don't want to spoil- but surprising as it is, now that I've read the story I have trouble believing that it didn't happen that way. It's really great.
