Why this must be read: I don't know how she did it, but she managed to make a story about prison lovely. This is a wonderful AU mostly about Jayne and does an excellent job of getting into Jayne's head. The plot is also very well thought out and it makes for a very engrossing story. Even though the story deals with extremely depressing matters, Ana has a light touch and lets you feel for the characters without wanting to slit your own wrists. If you want to learn about Jayne this is the story to read.
