Fandom: Popslash
Pairing: Uh. It might just be simpler to list those pairings which don't occur. Let's just say that Chris/everyone (though not simultaneously) and JC/Justin are the major pairings.

Why this must be read:
I knew, way back on October 1st when I recc'ed Remember, that there was no way I'd be getting through his month without send you all off to read anotherjae_w story at some point. I'm simply not strong enough to resist the urge. At any rate, that point? Has come.
jae_w has written some unbelievably bittersweet stories. She lures you in through a guise of humor and lightheartedness, and then suddenly unleashes all these wonderfully painful, moving moments upon you. It's great.
Reindeer Games is...not one of those bittersweet stories, however. It has tinges of that pain, in it's quieter moments perhaps, but overall this excellent story is pure farcical fun. It's the story of JC. Poor, pained, overly self-actualized, Deepak Chopra-quoting JC and his quest to find inner harmony and societal acceptance -- or, better yet, get laid by Chris. His is a quest fraught with peril, some absolutely perfect dialogue, and the best reference to Mick Jagger ever found in a fan fic. Hilarious, hot, and even a little deep.
