Why this must be read:
Few stories seem to deal with how Nate and Elena actually hook up for the first time, and this is presumably due to the fact that most fic for this series appears to be written after UC2 came out, and that was a game-changer relationship-wise for them so people mostly skip over that step in fic.
I chose this story to rec out of the few that there are because I liked how despite their semi-adversarial banter and innuendo we get in game and in most fics, when it came down to it in this they were both sort of nervous and shy about it as well, after forming a sort of friendship together and not easily knowing how to change it to more.
