Why this fic must be read:
The reason the second half of the pairing is withheld is for story purposes. Rachel says, and I think she's right, that it would ruin certain aspects of the story so I'm going to avoid as much as possible admitting who the woman in the story is. I will say it's het and as Rachel herself said. It's someone who isn't Scully.
I remember when this story first came out, I was absolutely bowled over by it. To my recollection it is the first story of Rachel's I ever read and the rich detail and spot on characterizations amazed me. The story absolutely engrosses and pulls you in. It's a scenario you wouldn't but works like absolute gold.
