"Have Yourself a Manic Little Christmas" by Tiffany Park (PG-13)
Fandom: STARGATE SG-1
Pairing: none
author's webpage: Tiffany Park's Fanfiction
author on LJ: not that I can find
Why this must be read:
After the darkness of the last story, I feel a little levity is in order. This is levity along the "patently ridiculous, with a side order of holiday mania" lines, as Kinsey stages a surprise Christmas Eve inspection of the SGC, Daniel, Carter, and Teal'c sneak-attack decorate Jack's house, and a goa'uld assassin aims his crosshairs at ol' Saint Nick.
Humor is the ultimate YMMV element (and it may seem a little too soon for Christmas-themed stories), but "Manic Little Christmas" is good for some relaxing chuckles. The highlight scene, where Teal'c impersonates a mall Santa is definitely beverage-endangering, unstoppable snickering-inducing fun. And let's face it, everyone gets a little manic around the holidays (even if they're not your holidays, I think the madness tends to be all-pervasive) - we could all do with a good laugh, and maybe a goa'uld to take our frustrations out on.
