Why this must be read:
One of the most popular areas of canon to explore, for B/K fans, is the two-week period of lockdown that followed their New Years' Eve reunion. Understandly so because not only is this a chance to explore every smutty wish we have for them, it's also an opportunity to delve into all the other elements that swirl throughout their relationship -- angst, vulnerability, tenderness, miscommunication, and love. This is one has all of that going on, as in this sample paragraph:
They necked like teenagers, still wearing their underwear, for
what felt like hours. For months Chris had been craving Toby's
kiss and now he was doing more kissing than he had ever imagined.
It wasn't like anything Chris had ever done, certainly not with
another man and maybe not with anyone. If he'd ever done
anything so innocent, it was lost to him. It was somewhere way
back in that part of his early life that he refused to remember.
Chris squeezed his eyes shut tight and focused on what his body
was feeling, pushing away dark memories.
