Why this must be read:
This one is mostly because its brand of wacky and cute, combined with some classic Dan-and-Casey, makes me think that it'd be a shame if any of you lovely people missed out on reading it. It's not entirely happy, but it is very funny, and oddly real. I love the conceit, and how interestingly intertwined all the different levels of meaning are. Yay for Dan and Casey and their ability to banter in a way that means they're discussing several different things at once, and for authors who manage to play with that while making fun of every trash novel ever. There's also the rather cool fact that it's beautifully written; Punk and Sabine are famed for a reason, and it's worth finding out just why for yourself. :)
