Bobbin' 'n' Weavin' I & II by Endless Fever (PG-13)

Fandom: SPORTS NIGHT
Pairing: Dan/Rebecca, Dan/Casey (friendship), Dan/Other.
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] endless_fever
Author Website: I don't think she has one anymore.
Why this must be read:

These stories pick up sometime after the sale of CSC to Quo Vadimus. For a while there Dan seems to be doing okay. He's going to therapy, his show has been saved and he might even be able to salvage something out of his relationship with Rebecca. But underneath it all he's not really as together as he'd like people to think he is.

In Bobbin' 'n' Weavin' I: It's That Time of the Year, Dan can feel the walls starting to cave but there's little he can do to stop it from happening. With his performance at work going increasingly down hill and his friendship with Casey still in need of some healing after the events of Draft Day 2000, he's forced into taking some time off when everything suddenly spirals out of hand. As always Casey is there for him but the question is, will Dan allow him to help?

The much longer Bobbin' 'n' Weavin' II: Drowning picks up where Bobbin' 'n' Weavin' I left off. Dan decides he needs to clear the air with his father, one way or another. But in doing so he may not only have destroyed any hope of a lasting relationship with his dad, but inadvertently ruined his chances with Rebecca.

[livejournal.com profile] endless_fever has a superb grasp on Dan and all his ticks and quirks, painting a portrait of a man who is barely making it through the day. With support from Casey, Abby and Rebecca, we hope that he'll be okay, but there's an awful lot of stuff he needs to work through before he's anywhere near that light at the end of the tunnel.
