Why this must be read:
I tend to like my HP slash with a Snape flavor, but this very recent story was so enjoyable that I have to rec it. Take a chance on this rare pairing and read this finely crafted story, and join the crowd begging Abbadon for more Zachfic. In this story, Abaddon takes a minor character and lets the reader into his head. I fell hard for Zach's contrariness. The reason to read this story isn't merely for the smut (although there's some of that, too)--it's the excellent characterization. I love that Zacharias really doesn't like Harry in this story, and that Harry knows that but is just out for a shag who will challenge him. I like the class politics, the half-assed-but-sincere political rhetoric (radical Hufflepuffs--whee!), and Zacharias's weak rationalizations to do what he wants. The author says he pictures actor Charlie Hunnam as Zach--that works great for me. Plus, the sex is hot and just the kind of kinky I like (alley sex, blowjobs, jostling for dominance, and two horny, slightly antagonistic young men--mmmmm).
