Hi, I'm Bradamante, and I'll be playing with the X-Files this month. I’m a slash fan, so don’t expect much MSR here, but I’ve noticed a distinct lack of threesomes in the previously-recommended stories. So I’ll try to remedy that this month with some tasty Skinner / Mulder / Scully / Krycek stories in various combinations.

Why this must be read:

This is a fabulous story, written in a first-person Mulder stream of consciousness style. The style could be off-putting, but once you get into the flow of things it really works well – the author has a near-perfect Mulder voice, and variations in pacing and flow take you along for the ride.

A post-colonization story, this work is described by the author as: “Mulder, Scully and Skinner survive the invasion...but will they survive for long...and how?” The breathless, frantic pacing of the beginning works well with their flight, not going toward anywhere, but just away – away from everything they’d ever known. Once they reach a destination, the pacing slows and the character development starts, and the relationships build….the characterizations feel authentic and true to the show, and the conclusion is surprising and satisfying.

This is one of my favorite X-files stories, one that I like to re-read often, and I’m pleased to be able to share it.

Wow, great to find someone else who loves slashy threesomes (I'm particular to MMF ones myself). I hope you enjoy the rest of my recs...and I hope I've found a couple that you haven't read yet!
