Oh, thanks for reccing this one! I have read it many times and to me it is still the best LotR fiction I have read. Ok, quite a take on the B/F relationship (but then, I like that a lot, that is why I was looking for this story in the first place).
I find the language and the pacing slowly intense, and the politics that make the fabric of the story are spot-on.
And then, of course, there is huge angst and unrequited love and confusion...
It's a great, long, satisfying read.
