Why this must be read:

As you've probably noticed by now, if you've read my previous recs in various fandoms, I have a serious bdsm kink. This fic feeds that kink better than almost any story out there, and it is superbly written. Let me quote you the opening:

Outside, in the 'real world', things are hectic, wild, chaotic. Phones ring, timers beep, and there is a never-ending flurry of activity, of industry. I have a life there; a name, a profession, friends and loved ones who care about me, who love me. I have activities I enjoy indulging in, and things I must do, enjoyment not being a factor. Outside, there is the Game. Outside, I have a lover; a man I've pledged to, a man I love beyond life itself.

Inside, in here, there is nothing but he and I, and a game of an entirely different sort.

It's a different kind of world; often nearly silent, but for the hoarse cries and muted groans of pleasure--and of pain. Dim and quiet, it's a world full of the power of seduction, and the seduction of power. In here, the only boundaries are the ones we find for ourselves--no one sets them artificially for us.

Out there, he is Methos.

Out there, I am Duncan MacLeod of the Clan MacLeod.

In here, he is Sir.

In here, I am pet.

Really, there's nothing I can say that recommends this story as highly as those opening paragraphs, among the strongest I've ever read. Go read it now, and be prepared to squirm in your seat. This is about as hot as it gets.

H-O-L-Y C-O-W! I know Kim's writings from Sentinel and I always liked her writing, but I never pictured BDSM in Highlander could be done so well. She's got it, she rocks. WOW!

Hey, thank you! :) Wow--what a lovely thing to hear (read). I dunno how I missed the pimping of this community over LJ, but a friend gave me this link last night and said 'hey! you were recced!' -- which made me do a little bounce in my seat :)

Thanks so much for the rec and the kind words :) Glad to know people are still reading/enjoying my older stories. (And if you read popslash at all, I have some bdsm-themed stuff in there, as well.)

I went on a binge and went through your site:) (I missed reading good quality work, but if I knew you had written in HL and Invisible Man and Buffy and Voyager and....I would have LoCed sooner;)

Everyone should go read your stuff. Your TS has always been fantastic, but now I get to read Kim Gasper in Invisible Man (Ghost...always LOVED Flowers for Hobbes and this is so fitting to follow up the ep), Highlander (Fear Of The Dark is...Methos' inner demons come alive), and Buffy (Blood Dreams/A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes...Aside from CrazySouledSpike, this is the time period in Spike's life that I loved that I enjoyed watching the most. Tortured and broken and wanting that which seems so far away, you captured it perfectly).

I'm in fanfic heaven right now.

Wow. Dude. *blushes* Thank you so much! Geez. I'm so glad you're enjoying the fic :) And since I've been pretty much 'popslash!popslash! popslash!' for the last year and a half, it's always cool to hear people are still reading the other stuff :)
