fic recc: Encore by Tiffany Rawlins

Fandom: Pop
Pairing: Lance/Justin
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] wearemany
Author Website: We Are Many

Why this must be read: Like she says on her site, everyone has a favorite. Mine is Lance, even though I spread my love out broadly. I'm also a complete whore for lambfic. Which is Lance/Justin (I assume in the overview of popfic there is a glossary of terms, but I'll make sure to include definitions for pairings, if I remember to even use to abbreviation thingie in these rambles). Back to the recc. As I've plowed through the copious amount of lambsfic around, I've noticed there tends to be some uniformity to the progression of their relationship a lot of the time. You won't find that here since the plot device completely flips the conventions on their heads. Set in an AUish future, Lance and Justin on the downward slide before the Las Vegas schlockfests, but after the apex of fame.

I keep forgetting to point this out about the people I recc, but generally I pull one of the many stories I like by an author out sort of randomly by my mood. That's the case here. If Lance/Justin ain't your plate of grits, hop on over to her site and find something else you might be into. You won't want to send a jihad after me of her for your effort. (I was really torn whether I should recc this one or The Long Run because I love that story, too. I want to only recc each author I pimp out once per turn since everyone else should get a shot when *their* turn comes up, but DAMN IT I will still mention it, and someone else can still recc it properly another time…that one is Trickyfish, Lance/Chris.)

Encore (the actual recc. Don't hate on me for sliding another one under the carpet even though I know it's against the rules)
