Why this must be read:

This was one of the first fics I ever read, and it remains one of my absolute favourites. When it comes to crossovers, you really can't do any better than this. And there are few pairings that can trump Mulder/Methos for hotness. Torch's portrayal of the characters - including Scully and the absent Highlander gang - is spot on, emotionally rich and deeply moving, and the plot reads like that rare thing, a proper X-file. Post the HL finale, Methos is driving blindly through America, trying to escape his feelings for MacLeod. After Scully's recovery from cancer, Mulder is trying to find his way back to the relationship they had before, to recover from the shock of nearly losing his partner. In the smalltown of China, Indiana, they all come together in the midst of strange events, and the result is spectacular. If there ever was a must-read crossover fic, this is it.

Yes! This is the one Highlander-related story I've read. Love Torch, love Mulder, love Methos at least in this fic.

Need more Highlander/X-Files

China is one of my all-time favorite stories. Does anyone have anymore recs for long Mulder/Methos stories with a plot? For some reason I'm jonesing for Highlander/X-Files crossovers. I've also read Rapture by Wombat, great read, and a number of shorter pwp stories.

At this point I might even welcome some het fic where Mulder turns out to be immortal. I've googled the Mulder/Methos pairing and not come up with much.
