It's Stuart and Vince at the movies again. I liked the emotional tone of this ficlet, and it's the only one Jess wrote in this fandom. You might not have come across it before, so I thought I'd mention it.

Yay! I knew there would be someone who hadn't read that. I was familiar with her writing from Smallville, and even I was surprised when she mentioned having written that little story.

(And I heard just last week that Speranza still feels the active fannish love for QaFUK, so there's hope for more from her...mmmm, more new stories!)

I'm only halfway through my recs, but feel free to e-mail me links to any stories you really like because it's going to be quite a while until this fandom's turn comes up again, I think. Only thing is, the stories have to be complete. This is actually a problem in this fandom; there are a number of interesting stories that are abandoned or not finished.

How does this work, exactly? With fandoms "coming up"? Anything by the Rhipodon Society or Cesare rock my world. Maybe "But Once A Year..." by Cesare? The D.I.S.C.O. series by Tia.

The Small fandoms have a single signup list, and every month as a rec'er's turn comes up on the list (three small fandoms are featured every month), he or she gets to rec that fandom.

As you can see, my turn came up on page 2, and there are 6+ pages of comments. At three fandoms/month, it'll be quite a while before it comes up again. You could sign up now and forget about it for a long time.

Adding that you're doing a great job, and picking the same stuff I would pick, especially Speranza and Mallory Klohn (ahem, and me). Could Cesare's Almost Never series be considered separate short stories? I think that's the way they're meant, since they weren't written in order.

I have it on my list to rec, but I am giving her time in case she wants to fix the broken links from her new web page. (I don't like rec'ing using a web-archived copy. I get paranoid about how long that will work and we rec for the long run here.)

I'll consider the possiblity of rec'ing those Almost Never stories separately when I re-read the series, but usually in Crack Van we just do the series as one rec unless we like one part particluarly a lot. Otherwise I'll really be spamming people this month and might not get to some other stories I want to rec. There's no limit to the number of stories I can rec b/c this is a small fandom (the rules are different), but I don't want to do more than a couple recs in one day.
