Why this must be read:

Estrella is one of my all time favorite writers in this fandom. Why? She brings top-quality humor and smut to the party every time (and, fine, if you’re looking for something a little more substantial, her characterization is always superb). I chose one of her lighter pieces, Stop. Fast-forward. Rewind, because it still makes me (perverted 12-year-old that I am) smirk whenever I think about it.

So go. Read. Admire the character voices. The great one-liners. The brilliant set up. The way Estrella captures a scene so perfectly you can hear it and see it and almost touch it. The hotness.

And seriously, if that isn’t enough to sell you, I’ll let the author’s summary speak for itself:

”Somewhere in a small cabin in Canada, Ray and Fraser watch porn.”

The very first due South fic I ever read. And I've been totally hooked ever since.

I remember reading about Frannie, who says in a letter that she isn't Ray's sister anymore and thinking, WTF? But it didn't matter that I was a little lost because the story is that good and that HOT.

Glad you liked it. *g* Yeah, I actually read the crack_van overview (http://www.livejournal.com/community/crack_van/81668.html?style=mine) before I ever read any fics, so at least I wasn't that confused (though all the references to pirate ships, motorcycles through windows and the like were a little strange).

It is a freakishly addictive fandom, isn't it? It's got me just as bad as HP did back in the day.

Addictive? Oh, yeah. My very first post in the dS fandom was in estrella30's lj in mid December of 2004 and I've been totally obsessed every day since. To think I didn't know RayV from RayK back then!

Yeah, I really got hooked over Summer 2004. Earlier than that, maybe. Holy crap, I may have been around dS a year. Woah.
