Why this must be read:
There are times when I love a good honest angst-fest and this fic is one of the better ones. Here Seth isn't innocent or happy, he is the only child being replaced by the golden child.
Somewhere along the way, Ryan and Seth don’t know each other anymore, and Seth doesn’t know what to say when Ryan, in all his eagerness (something only Seth gets to see), tells him about his dreams for the company. Something twists inside Seth, and Seth hates himself for feeling that way, for thinking about kissing Ryan when his eyes glow. Ryan has a new girlfriend now, someone non-Marissa and non-Seth, and he’s happy.
This is nothing like what Seth imagined.
