Ah, was ever there a line that more titillated and excited the fanfic author’s imagination than Horatio’s comment in “Mutiny” that upon being informed of their transfer to the “Renown” that he and Archie proceded to “drink Portsmouth dry” in celebration? How can anyone resist canon debauchery? Well, many an author hasn't even tried. And that is a very good thing.
Why this must be read:
Because it’s a fun romp and one of the rare cases in which het actually works and works well in this almost exclusively masculine fandom. The premise is simple: Horatio and Archie want to celebrate their good fortune and they persuade a couple of young ladies to join them. Cue the drunken debauchery. The sex scenes are hot and there is enough humor and the occasional flash of embarrassment to keep the story light and entertaining. All in all, it’s an enjoyable read.
