Last Set Before Closing, by Kat Allison (PG)
Fandom: HIGHLANDER
Pairing: None
Author Website: Kat Allison's Stories
Why this must be read: Man, the hardest part of this was choosing just one of Kat's stories to pimp. She's such a deft writer, and her take on immortality is thoughtful and splendid. I especially love her Methos-centric stories, but in the end this one is one of my favorites, for the way she uses Joe to show that Immortals aren't the only ones outside of time; in the end all of us are cut adrift in a world where our friends are dead, our homes and familiar places are gone, and everything we believed in has become an anachronism.
"No real problems. Physically he's OK." She frowned, as if this were less than fully good news. "Another little episode of arrhythmia over the weekend, but we got that adjusted fairly easily. But those new prostheses we ordered for him? He's refusing to try them out. He just stays in that chair. And stays in his room, way more than he should. He has to get out and interact more, it's important in keeping him oriented. And he needs more exercise. I want him to give those prostheses a try."

Dead Link
I was browsing in Highlander recs and found this one, but I can't reach the story. Do you know if the author webside is down? Are her stories archived in some other place?
Thanks a lot for any information

Re: Dead Link
I'd think about that for myself *blush* In my defense, it was so late in the night... or maybe early in the morning =D
