If my wariness of Charlie/Claire comes from the fact that they remind me jellybeans than my wariness of Jack/Sawyer/Kate dynamic comes from the fact that they remind me bit unbaked cookie dough. *pause for people to either get reference or think I'm insane, or both* Love triangles can be exhausting and I'm always wary of investing myself in them because I usually just end up wanting to smack everyone involved.

This fic, however, makes everything better. First, because good porn makes everything better, and this is fabulous porn. And second, because underneath the incredible hotness is a real understanding of what makes these characters tick. Because at its core, the relationship between Sawyer, Jack, and Kate is a just a huge pissing contest, and this fic gets the back and forth, the struggle for power and control, perfectly. It's not pretty. It's not about sweet, tender moments. It's about sex. And that's a very good thing.
