This story is not really about Brian and Justin. It's about Justin, and how strong he is because he's had to be.

Justin could be modest. He could tell people that bravery is a Taylor trait, passed down from father to son, or he could say it was how he was raised. He could blame perspective for just making him appear brave, or fate for deciding that his past actions would lead to his current attitudes.

But fuck that. Justin is brave because he taught himself to be. He’s brave because he has to be and because it feels good. Shame isn’t brave, and you can’t be a happy fag if you’ve got shame. He isn’t pissed at his dad because he doesn’t want to think of his son getting fucked in the ass; he’s pissed because his dad doesn’t have the balls to not give a shit if anyone else does.
