Well, in the words of the author, this fic is... NC-65, which tells you how hot it is. Actually, it's not just hot, it's searing. And believe me, for me to say so and admit I loved it, it better be good because I am not one for pure smut and PWPs. But this fic has more. Threaded between the lines and the sex, there's a dark undercurrent, something nasty and desperate, something painful that grips you and twists your gut in a slightly different way than the porn would normally do. It's hot as hell and yet so bittersweet and with such a delicate characterization of Elijah that if it leaves you indifferent, then you haven't been reading properly.

Dom is gripping his fingers, twining them together and kissing him, tongue stroking and washing over him like cool water. Aragorn may be King of Men, but Viggo is the ring that rules them all. It's a paradox of sorts. Elijah gets that.
