Continuing with the theme of interesting pairings, I know that Weir/Sheppard is fairly popular, but I personally think that Ford/Kate Heightmeyer is an act of brilliance. I've read a lot of Ford slash and some Ford gen and I have to say that this is the first Ford pairing that I fully fell in love with. (You ended that sentence with a preposition! You bastard!)

Man, I *hope* it'll be the next new thing! It's by far the most plausible het pairing I've seen in Atlantis fic. I love my slash, but I like some variety.

she's probably at most 8 years older. He's 24 and i don't think we know how old she is, but i'd say she's not much over 30. of course, i could be terribly wrong!

for me, the crucial thing in any pairing with an age discrepancy that involves a generational difference is that the power dynamic be equal. and i can see that being the case with this pairing.
