This story drips with the sort of intimate emotional honesty that was usually missing in any overt form on screen. Yet, Scully's first person words wholly make sense here and sound so very her (albeit in more romantic form than Scully would probably ever really say). The story is set up mostly as a letter from Scully to Mulder, and Livia captures the tricky voice of Scully well.
