Why this must be read:
I just finished reading this and had to rec it. This post-KLG2 fic has wonderful characterisation all around. It gives and excellent canon take on what would happen if certain events remained the same at the end of season one. The Laura/Lee relationship is subtle, based on the mutual admiration and respect shown on the series.
