This fic toys with the genre's expectations by making Dom the baby!momma and Elijah the proud, chain-smoking daddy. Because it doesn't take itself too seriously, the story becomes less about the actual pregnancy and more about the relationship between Dom and Elijah. It's amazingly funny and thoughtful, plus it's got hawt non-slash-slash.

"Why, I was just telling Elijah how I'm sure the radiant glow of motherhood has made you more ravishing than ever," Billy says, his voice suddenly nothing but sweetness and light.

"Very kind of you, Bill," Dom says brusquely, "but I'm nobody's mother."
