I've been having a much busier month than I expected, so less recs than I wanted to do. To make it even harder a lot of the good stuff is rec'd in the memories so it's hard finding new stuff! And as I'm an Australian, I'm trying to avoid Serenity-spoiled fics ;)

Why this must be read:

This story is an attempt at explaining some of the mystery of Book, why he has connections to the military and why he is a Sheppard. It's nicely detailed and the touches of characterisation are spot on. It's a good, solid, exposition of part of the 'verse.
