Why this must be read:
This is pre-slash. Short, as usual with my recs. It's part of a longer piece, but the first and last parts haven't been written, so it's sort of a WIP. It does stand up very well on its own.
This is a very detailed piece set in 1955, with Charles and Erik dancing around their attraction for one another and their differing philosophies on life.
