As I Lay Me Down by Maayan (NC-17)

Why this must be read:
For my last rec of the month I bring you one of my favorites by Maayan. Her writing is always lyrical, and the style and structure of As I Lay Me Down brings each section of John's journey to life. This AU is harsh, fluid and sexy, and not to be missed.
You're not Chiana. She's already claimed too much of me. I think she understands, and she threw you at me. She says I've got that look again, that wormhole look, like I'm going to go Timecop on her, D'Argo and Nerri. Like I'm going to try to go back and fix it, but there's nothing to fix. Aeryn got contaminated cycles before I met her--the thought wakes me up sometimes and I laugh--so was most of the galaxy. I can't do anything about that. I can't go back to a place I've never been.
