The Chance Encounters stories are a group of role playing fics that crazy evil dru and Evil Willow wrote in chat, each author portraying one of the characters throughout. This is an interesting way of writing fiction, and not always a productive one, but in these cases, the results are excellent. I've picked the Angel/Lindsey version, because that's my favourite of the pairings the authors chose to play around with, but I also recommend the Angel/Faith and Spike/Xander versions.
