Why this must be read:
The Doctor tends to be a bit unstable shortly following regeneration, and when in that state he gets himself in a situation that only his oldest enemy can help him out of, the tension builds. This fic does a good job of examining the Doctor and Master's relationship, who they are, who they were, and how they manage to coexist in the universe.
