The Same Everywhere by Jane Mortimer (NC-17)
Fandom: THE X-FILES
Pairing: Mulder/Krycek, Mulder/Krycek/Other (sort of)
Author on LJ: Unknown
Author Website: Jane's Page
Why this must be read: because it is one of the most original concepts in the fandom and the only way I buy a Mulder/Krycek pairing without Scully in the middle somewhere. *g*
This story starts with Mulder meeting a "contact" and that contact turns out to be Krycek. I don't want to give the plot away, but Mulder and 'Krycek' come to an arrangement and decide to work together. That of course leads to sex, extremely hot sex, but this is definitely not a PWP story, as the plot fits in perfectly with X-Files canon. In the end, Mulder gets what he wants: more information on the aliens and conspirator's plans and Krycek get what he really wants deep down: Mulder.
There is just a little problem, the two men aren't exactly alone in their encounters and no, this isn't a threesome. Well, not really, so you will just have to read it and see.
The story has a sequel, The Hand We Were Dealt, but I prefer the original.
