Why this must be read:
This story shows the remarkable partnership Bodie and Doyle have,it probably falls in the category of pre-slash.
Bodie has a couple of days off and Doyle is still on sick leave after a particularly nasty case where Doyle has been held hostage by a sadistic nutter.
Then Bodie gets a phone call, his still shell-shocked partner wanted to get a hair cut and something has triggered a memory in Doyle and he loses it.
To help Doyle, Bodie has to find out what exactly happened to him.
The story is told in the present with Bodie trying to help Doyle and with flash backs of the terrible ordeal Doyle went through.
Bodie is prepared to do everything to help Doyle come to terms with what happened to him.
The hair on the back of his neck was warning him about something. Why would Lisa phone and ask for him and not for Doyle? Bodie's fingers tightened briefly on the steering wheel, trying to remember what his partner had planned for today. Ray wasn't supposed to have planned anything. Bodie had spent Saturday with him after the hospital had released Doyle, and he had only returned to his own flat in the evening when Ray was settled for the night.
***
Bodie stared at the closed door, then gave a shrug and walked decisively to the back. He gave a quick knock, found it unlocked and pulled it open halfway, enough for him to poke his head into the room. "Bloody hell," he whispered inaudibly, not prepared for the sight.
***
Doyle found a shaky smile and lifted his head, finally acknowledging the dark-haired man's steady gaze. "Gettin' to be a bad habit of mine, innit?"
Bodie reached out and lightly touched the cold perspiration on Doyle's forehead. "Should I call an ambulance?"
***
Bodie had immediately understood that Doyle could not have done otherwise. Heart on your bloody sleeve, mate. Just stay alive until I get there. If it's MacGregor you've found, he's insane.
***
"Oh, he's still alive. For now." Using Doyle as a human shield, they held him up at the window, long enough for the CI5 agents to identify the nearly naked man as their own.

I'm glad you liked it.

Her other stories are just as good, Three Man and a Bodie is hilarious and the other two are companion pieces that are enjoyable to read too, but Scissors is my favourite!
Thanks for writing.

Another story that you might like is Out of the Shadows by Ashlea, here is the url:
http://www.thecircuitarchive.net/tca/archive/1/outof.html
Two writers that you might also like in respect to the way they write Bodie are Darby Brennan and Anne Higgins. They can both be found on the Circuit Archive, if you go to the search engine and fill out their names at authors you can find all their stories there.
Hopefully these are the kind of stories you are looking for.
