This is a series of vignettes, centering around the relationship between Dan, Casey, Ceazer, and Babbette. You know, their pet llamas? No, really. It is a delightful little saga, very romantic and dare I say it, fluffy, yes, but the humor is sharp and it will make you "Awwww!" without feeling guilty about it, truly an accomplishment, especially in the world of slash. It a weird way, it captures the boyish charm of Dan/Casey as well as any piece of SN fanfic I've read, while being able to not take itself too seriously.

"But it's Christmas," Dan said plaintively.

"Danny, you're Jewish," Dana pointed out like he needed reminding. "You don't do Christmas."

"Yeah, but I do do the good will to all men thing, which is what it's supposed to be about, right?"

Dana rolled her eyes. "Just keep the llamas off the set, okay?"

Most of my Sports Night stuff is in my memories, but there are a couple of stories that I have never posted on lj. But as i was saying to phoebesmum, I'd like to edit them and have them properly betaed before I do that.

Hurrah for the llamas! You can't go wrong with a llama, especially when you factor in Dan and Casey too. And also, hurrah for laylee. Who wrote many other fine stories, pre-LJ (pre her getting an LJ, that is), which I'm trying to persuade her to post for all the world to see. Because we are worth it.

I was harassing her only this morning, and she muttered something about wanting to tidy them up a bit and get them betaed. But I happen to know where they are on the Yahoo SN group.

What? Yes, I was bored/sad/desperate enough to trawl back through a bunch of old messages. And your point is ...?

Not unrelatedly, this morning I went back and ran through the first entries on <lj user="inthetallgrass", and actually did find some fic I'd either not read before or had forgotten about. Obsessive compulsiveness has its uses.
