Why this must be read: I don't branch out of my OTP very often, but I'm really glad I did for this one. Told from Ben's POV this is another futurefic. It's a bittersweet, heartbreaking, vision of his love for Michael, and their relationship. Thistlerose does an amazing job of capturing the poignant ache of a man conscious of his mortality, and holding on just a little longer to what he loves the most.
