Why this must be read:
I generally like longer stories than shorter ones. This particular story is a stellar exeption to the rule. It's fairly short but perfectly moody and atmospheric. Stories like this are fantastic because every word in them serves a purpose. I love Sam, and I was sad to see him go. Without getting too meta on you all, I think in a lot of ways Sam's leaving the show signified an end to the first stage of the show. This is a great story because it deals with that situation in a way that the show never did.
