Why this must be read: Summary - Draco learns that poison doesn't always bring death, there are other ways to suffer and live, as Draco discover the intoxication of love. And to read, the story is just as intoxicating. It's very sensual, dark, angsty and romantic, and mainly due to the beautiful prose. The story is filled with fervent looks, introspective thought, infused silences and tense moments between the protagonists that burn with electricity, and not only do you see it, but you feel it as well. It would almost be too much if Rhysenn wasn't so good at writing it. Yet, there's plot as well! A simple plot, but not too predictable and it balances the prose very well.
Although the story is a novel length fic it flys by, as the pacing is good. Just as the prose might become too much, Rhysenn injects the story with a plot development, or a nail biting Quidditch match, a humorous scene featuring Seamus and Dean gossiping, or a witty barbs exchange between Hermione and Draco. I think these elements add extra depth to the story, and are great touches.
Also, if adore a suffering, love lorne Draco, this is a must read for you - full of urgency, fraying around the edges, being torn apart by the warring voice of the potions - knowing his emotions are false but still *feeling* them and hungering for Harry...he suffers so beautifully *bg*
