Why this must be read:

I've recced Annie in Sports Night before and now that I'm driving the West Wing for the month, I can't omit her from my list. She has a great grasp on the Sorkin style of banter and she's one of those authors that it's obvious she loves the characters as much as you do.

This is a short piece set during the first primary election as the gang travels together and Josh curses the existence of traffic and/or Sam's nerdy side.



"Josh, be quiet," Leo replied firmly. "Or next time, you're traveling with the baggage."

"About the panda thing," Sam started, and Josh decided to test Leo's patience.

"Can I go sit with the baggage now?"

Leo stood up, glaring at him over the seats. "What?"

"I'm stuck with Discovery Channel Boy. If it's not the otters, it's the pandas, or the tigers, or the whales. I'm a well-educated man, Leo. I don't need to know why the rainforests are being destroyed. I just need to know not to go out there without a guide."
