Why this must be read: The story moves forward almost like a series of vignettes, each one showing another step taken in Napoleon and Illya's relationship after they become lovers. Some of Napoleon's preconceived notions of his partner are challenged and put to rest; I love how logical and normal Illya is presented. And it's really lovely when Illya discovers there's more to his partner's words than he at first believes. Both men are completely adorable here.

Plus, the ending makes me laugh.

This was very enjoyable and the banter was great. I also like how Napoleon never thinks it's a problem when he's wooing-for-work, but it's always a problem when it's Ilya. Double standard!

And isn't that just so Napoleon? But Illya doesn't waste anytime setting him straight. :-)
