Why this must be read: This is one of the great stories that came out of the hiatus between the sixth and seventh seasons. It's a "what could happen" AU about Josh and Donna slowly finding their way back to one another along the campaign trail after Donna comes to work for the Santos campaign. And it culminates in a big way on election night!
The author questions whether her flashback "structure" works here. I would say absolutely! The flasbacks to the campaign interspersed with the happenings of election night really help to build the tension.
An excellent read, as are all of Dia's stories!
