It's been a lot of fun driving the van this month, and I hope people have enjoyed my recommendations. We'll finish up with one more post-SERENITY, M/I ficlet.

This little story packs a different emotional wallop than the previous rec. Redemption has always been my favorite Mal/Inara theme, and here it's delivered with equal amounts of joy and sorrow.
Her hands tug at him, and she moans into his mouth and he is shaking because he feels as if he is in free fall, spinning out of control. He does not remember knowing all those dead are his fault. What did Zoe say? “A hero is the one who gets others killed.” He forgets that he is certainly a hero, a score times over.
