Why this must be read:
Set Post-You're Welcome, Intermezzo is a surreal little ficlet that has great visual imagery and is an excellent example of dream-genre fic. I think it hits the perfect note of whimsy and even though it's short, it's worth the read.
Following a trail of butterflies she passed through the Roman Gate and stopped first at the Baths of Neptune, where a trio of water nymphs splashed in fragrant water. They beckoned her to join them.
“No, I don't have time," she said regretfully, shaking her head. "Perhaps next Tuesday, Tuesday's are good for me now.”
