Why this must be read:

girl_starfish described this story as what should be 'the official comfort-fic of anyone who's ever missed Young Justice', and I could not agree more -- seeing Anita, Greta, and Cissie again makes me happier than I should probably admit.

I would add that this story could just as easily fill the same role for anyone who misses Impulse, and for those of us who remember that Bart had an entirely different life back in Manchester.

This story gives us a Bart consistent with current writing, while retaining his earlier characterisation; he may be older and wiser, but he still keeps caring about all those who are important to him, and makes the effort to show it.

It's one of the most lovely character studies/friendship fics I've ever read -- utterly charming, and just a little sad. Whenever I read this story, I can remember just why I fell in love with these characters in the first place.
