In this fic, written for Multiverse 2005, crankygrrl brings us an older, wiser-but-still-a-smartass John Crichton, who more than meets his match in the irrepressible Starbuck. This ain't your childhood damsel-in-distress fairy tale... there's a clever nod to the BBC's 2005 Doctor Who, and ultimately, you've just got to love a fic where the disgruntled 'hero' grouses, "Y'know, Princess Leia never gave Luke Skywalker this much trouble."
