Extremely brief Justice League International overview linkspam thingy (although you don't need to know the characters in order to enjoy the story):

(This story kicks off the Justice League International/Superbuddies portion of the month. If you want to know more about Blue Beetle and Booster Gold (and have a few days to spare), I highly recommend the Blue & Gold Megapost. The Superbuddies continuity (which may or may not be in regular continuity, despite possessing some major differences *eyeroll*) is contained entirely within Formerly Known as the Justice League and I Can't Believe It's Not the Justice League! by Giffen, DeMatteis, and Maguire, and these books are definitely worth reading.

If there's one word that can summarise this part of fandom, it's denial -- canonically, half of these characters are horribly dead and/or randomly evil. We reject DC's reality, and substitute our own! Most fic tends to reflect this mindset. Anyway, on with the rec.)

The dialogue here really makes the story: hilarious, and absolutely spot-on for these two.
