Why this must be read: One of the funniest stories in popfandom. Nsync and Backstreet meet up in Germany (back in the day), Nick has these rings, and wackiness inevitably ensues (including Chris nearly committing suicide by boyband). All the guys from both groups are used well, there's brilliant dialogue, and Chris/Nick are one of my favourite crossover pairings.

JC tried to make the bed. After the third time he slipped in the patch of lube on the floor and nearly fell, he put the pillows down on top of it, put the bedspread down over the messy sheets, and piled most of the stuff on the floor on top. Then he looked at Nick and Chris. "Could you guys stop that?"
Nick and Chris separated with an audible suction-cup plop. "Stop what?"
"That whole... face-eating zombies horror movie thing." JC took a closer look. Then he clapped his hands over his eyes. "Jesus! Chris, get your hand out of there!"
"We're soulmates, C," Chris said seriously.
JC peered through his fingers and shuddered. "Yeah, well, that is not his soul, okay? So knock it off."

I *love* this story; it's one of the few that not only made me laugh out loud, but made me laugh till I feel off my wheely chair (literally) and got tummy aches from laughing so much.

OMG, yes! Also, I think it's meant to be JuC and AJ/Lance as well but try as I might, I just couldn't glimpse those. Well, okay, maybe JuC but AJ/anyone is much squee for me and just... OMG. I think I lost my slash sparkle!!! O.O

Okay, yes, I do see all that. Maybe I'm hoping that if I say I don't see it at *all* it'll suddenly stop being *subtle* and will become more glaringly obvious.

It's wishful thinking, really: I like my AJ pairings to be um... explicit. *veg*

I love this story and that line is just one of my faves. This one had me laughing out loud as well...

"Putting your hand in Nick's pants when Kevin is looking isn't a joke," JC said, "it's like, trying to commit suicide by boyband."

I think 'suicide by boyband' *is* the best quote of the story but it's hard choosing just one; most of the story is imminently quotable. Just. Squee. Much love.
