Coals of fire by Executrix (NC-17)

Fandom: BLAKES 7

Pairing: BLAKE/AVON, Blake/OMC
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] executrix
Author Website:Executrix's Plotless Lagomorph Asylum
Why this must be read:

THIS isn't a conventional B7 story. No. It's one of my favourites though. Maybe it's not Executrix's best story? I don't know. To me, it's an amazing story.
THIS is Blake/Avon at their finest. An established relationship (more established B/A, please) with a believable Avon who *doesn't* border psychopathic, a very good charismatic Blake who gets more than he bargained for, two strong characters who sound alive and deal with their relationship as smartly as they can. And cheating. How does Avon react to cheating? Well, you'll have to go and read it! Because believe me, it's a (too short) nice change!

PS: a few formatting problems but nothing that bothered me.

Thank you so much! What a lovely Solsticial present. BTW that story explains why it's so rare for anyone in any of my fics to say "I love you" to anyone else.

Avon seldom unleashes the Niceness Bomb, because it's too terrible a weapon to be left uncontrolled.

I have NO idea why those tags didn't work. I am to HTML tags what gluten is to celiac disease.

In The Merchant of Venice, one of the marginal characters says about Antonio "I think he loves the world only for him" (Bassanio) and I pretty much loved B7 only for Avon--and panache is a good word for what I liked.

I do think they'd have bicycles, they'd be good for going short distances within Domes, and whether out of a desire to keep high technology strictly controlled or sheer lack of resources I think they'd need energy-saving alternatives. They certainly have escalators, and bicycles are kind of on the same level of technology.

When I hit "view source" your html came up as & lt;b>1& lt;/b> - without the space between & and lt; I had to put that in cos lj converted it to normal brackets. That means it's half in "normal" html and half in special characters, godknowswhy. If you originally did it all with angled brackets, some of 'em aren't taking, though I've never known them not to. Try doing all the opening angled brackets as & lt; and all the closers as & gt; - without the spaces.

My previous comment was supposed to be a reply to yours, but LJ did something odd with it. All fixed now.

Which browser? I've only checked in Netscape and Opera.

Firefox, but I tried hitting refresh and that fixed it!

I tend to paste Executrix's txt files into my template then find and replace all her tags. Obviously I missed doing this one properly either because I got distracted or because I was alseep.

Shall fix tonight anyway.

Come to think of it, my computer did crash while I was adding some stories a while back. That could have been it.
