Why this must be read:

I had never considered Jayne and River as a pairing until I read some fics that Alia posted in her LJ. Alia's been a favorite of mine since Roswell, since she has a wonderful talent for pairing the hi-larious with the poignant. Her Carnival Series, of which Cotton Candy is the first, is a wonderful, foofy little River/Jayne series. Cotton Candy is just a ficlet, but it opens up a wonderfully quirky world where River and Jayne court each other at the carnival. And there's promise of an epilogue!
